If access to the room prior to the function is required for the purpose of decorating, etc, arrangements must be made in advance. This is restricted based on permitting time of the Observatory.
Spencer’s at the Waterfront is not responsible for articles left in the building. Every effort will be made by Spencer’s management team to locate any articles reported lost. All items found are recorded and placed in our lost and found located in the Special Events office. Please ensure that arrangements are made for decor and gifts to be removed immediately following your reception. Every effort will be made by Spencer’s staff to assist you with any help you require.
A 20% deposit is required for confirmation. The final guarantee of attendance and full payment are required 10 days prior to your event. At the time of booking, each party will be given a minimum guest guarantee and the final guest count must not fall below this number. Method of final payment can be either cheque, cash or debit. A service charge is applicable if using a credit card for final payment only. For Visa or Master Card it is 3% and for American Express it is 4%.
To protect the interiors, only stand-alone decorations are permitted in the rooms. Nothing may be tacked or taped to walls or other surfaces. We request that the guests refrain from using confetti, rice, birdseed, etc. Cleaning charge will be applied where applicable.
Our property is wheelchair accessible. Please inform our staff in advance regarding specific needs for your guests.
Spencer’s at the Waterfront can suggest the services of a professional photographer. We will also welcome any external photographers. Spencer’s Smith Park is a public area, and is open for photography. The park cannot be permitted exclusively.
